Goddess wearable inspired from and mimicking Dead Sea highlighting its environmental concerns
How does it work?
merging different technologies and methodologies like 3D printing, computational couture electronics, and crystallizations (mimicking crystals by 3D printing the different geometries there plus growing crystals mimicking the color shades + have 2 layers of tulle for the rest of the dress with 2 shades turquoise and blue mimicking the waves ... using them grow crystals on plus attaching 3D printed small crystals and glow in the dark unique crystal geometry )
Thermochromic 3D printed accessories change color with temperature as once you move near the beach gets the turquoise color once you move further inside the sea water, it gets colder and turns into dark navy blue - reflecting the counter shading
After 3D printing the main piece, I crystallized it using onion peels as biochrome/biodye. I crystallized the headpiece too
for the headpeace i further coded the neopixels to light the 3D printed crystals geometry plus the optic fibers with crystals grown on
Why is it needed?
to showcase and highlight Jordan and Deadsea in a contemporary way instead of the traditional or old ways of what the media showcase as well as raise awareness and highlights Recession and environmental concerns where due to economical interests its resources are being abused so this futuristic creature has a role and came back to life (rebirth/ awakened from deep sleep) to protect the Dead sea from all that misusage.
The shores of the Dead Sea are the lowest point on the surface of the earth. It is such a unique corner of the world unlike any other place on earth(it's salty water is their renowned health and healing properties of the mud. You can also float naturally in them.). Situated a quarter mile below sea level, so saline it can't support life, surrounded by a desolate landscape, it is not just a geologic feature but a source of mystery connected to religious faith.
How does it improve life?
as mentioned raise awareness to very important environmental concern as level of water at dead sea and mineral are dropping by 33% so it's important we spotlight it in a unique way before it's too late!
