Zogo
A financial learning app providing bite-size modules and incentives to change the way people learn
How does it work?
Zogo is an engaging, gamified approach to financial literary. The app includes over 300 quick and educational modules addressing over 120 finance topics, such as debt and retirement. Each module consists of five Twitter-style snippets, of roughly 250-character. Zogo brings incentives to get people onto the app as users are able to earn a variety of rewards for completing modules, such as gift cards or account bonuses for learning on the app. Zogo partners with financial institutions, fintechs, schools, to make education simple, fun, and accessible for all.
Why is it needed?
Financial education is often lacking in schools and households. Although there are free and readily available resources online, many people do not find them, nor find them engaging. Zogo addresses a two sided problem - on one side, financial institutions have been unable to reach younger generations in a format that they like. On the other side, younger generations have not previously had a fun and simple way of learning financial literacy growing up, but with Zogo they do.
How does it improve life?
Students are often turned out into the real world without any concrete understanding of personal finances. This opens the door to a number of potential issues down the road, including falling into debt. Zogo allows people to make more informed financial decisions to improve their livelihood.
