DUOLINGO
LEARN LANGUAGES FOR FREE AND HELP TRANSLATE THE WEB
By using Duolingo you learn a new language for free – AND you help translating the web to languages that have very little web visibility. By that, you bridge the language gap on the web. With intuitive user interface, you study the language of your choice. The sentences you translate stems from an existing website that needs translation. When you write the sentence you learned, you translate this little part of the web at the same time. With over 38 million users, Duolingo has become the most popular way to learn languages online. An independent study, professors from the CUNY found that if you use Duolingo for 34 hours, you learn the equivalent of one university semester of language instruction.
