Last year has shown how fragile our globalized supply chains are and how bad we need locally produced goods designed by local communities, for local communities. The mission of Mekanika is to make manufacturing more accessible than ever, everywhere, though open source machines and free access knowledge. And we've designed Evo in that spirit : it is an evolving CNC milling machine that follows its user along their professional and creative journey and can grow with him/her. It is open source, and it can be built everywhere in the world with standard parts and fablab technologies. We want our users to access knowledge to improve their life, to create meaningful jobs for them and their surroundings, and to be able to produce or repair locally.
