This project aims to reduce the electronic waste of household appliances by extending the products' life cycle. E-waste crisis is a dynamically growing problem that should be addressed immediately. Unfortunately, the subject is very complex and started together with the industrial revolution. Nevertheless, the future can be changed, by introducing a circular economy model and dematerialisation of goods. However, none of it can happen without the change in human behaviour. Upkeep is a service which aims to close the loops of the electronics’ life cycle a create an alternative to the current model of ownership by offering monthly subscription plans. Through an online platform, user can discover the problem of electronic waste, learn and raise the awareness about the importance of the problem and subscribe to one of three plans targeted for main user groups.
