SolaRoad- road that harvest solar energy
SolaRoad develops solar pavements that converts sunlight into electricity.
The first cycle path that absorbs solar energy has been installed in Krommenie, Netherlands. During its first year of use, more than 9800 kWh of energy was generated - that's enough to provide three households with electricity. SolaRoad developers hope that their success will be an example of one of the ways that cities can produce cheap, clean energy.
