Re-create and re-design textile pieces turning them into art and giving them a second chance
In the world, the fashion industry is known for the strong impact it has on the environment. In line with this, Falabella wanted to initiate a mass communication where he invited people to join CREATIVE RECYCLING, a movement which for the first time retail told Colombians not to buy so much, and invited them to take clothes out of their closet, reinvent it and re-create it to use it again. How? Through a co-creation with the designer and textile restaurant Alejandro Crocker, who took garments from the Falabella deadstock, deconstructed them and joining them with appliques, threads, fabrics from other eras and restored, he created a collection of unique pieces full of creativity and history. , giving clothing and materials a second, third and even fourth chance. The collection was auctioned through social networks, and the proceeds were donated to artistic collectives to support initiatives inspired by art and fashion in favor of the environment.
