Crónica, la ciudad de la desventaja
Virtual city based on the effects of chronic malnutrition, to show the magnitude of this problem
Chronic malnutrition is a condition that occurs during the first 1000 days of life, affecting the physical and cognitive development of children for the rest of their lives. In Colombia more than 500,000 children currently suffer from it and approximately 4 million people have been affected. If we gathered them all in the same city, this would be the second most populated in the country. That is why we created Crónica, the city of disadvantage, a virtual city with hospitals, buildings, streets, monuments and demographic data based on the effects that chronic malnutrition causes in human beings, all to show the magnitude of this problem. While visiting the city, people were able to get to know its inhabitants and their disadvantages due to poor diet, lack of breast milk, and access to clean water. But most importantly, they could also make donations to stop their population from growing.
