Circular Design Tool
An open-source collection of systemic design strategies to accelerate the circular economy
Circular Design project is the output of three years PhD research on Design for X (X = a circular design strategy) at University Iuav of Venice. The aim of this project is to help companies and students to learn, explore, play and try to use a collaborative approach to accelerate the circular economy from the earliest phase of the design process. The Circular Design project is managed by Alessio Franconi. This tool can be used in the early design phases to explore new possibilities in the circular economy. DfX is a powerful methodology to break-up the complexity of product development through the fragmentation and simultaneous application of multiple design strategy. The supreme aim of this project is to standardize DfX strategies to transfer the academic knowledge on circular economy to contemporary and future generation of designers.
