SOTA (State of the Arts – www.stateofthearts.be) is a Brussels based open platform of artists, artist-run and self-organised initiatives – in fact anyone who is concerned by the state of the arts today. SOTA was initiated to address a shared interest in the direction that social politics at large, and cultural policies in particular, have taken in relation to art practices. SOTA doesn’t speak with one voice, but is a platform for shared concerns.
