Reused and Reusable Conference Experience
A recycled and reusable modular conference space system celebrating the impact of design.
The conference industry is built on waste - with millions of dollars of material being used to create built spaces for only a few days, before being relegated to the landfill. The American Society of Interior Design, a nonprofit supporting designers across North America, stands for responsibility in the design of space - and their new modular conference environment was an opportunity to embody that message. Built from reclaimed wood from other exhibits, this multi-piece display system is designed to move, break apart, and reconfigure for continuous reuse at the dozens of conferences where the nonprofit exhibits during the year. From the materials to the flooring, everything is both recycled and reusable - and creates a living example of the lessons that are shared within it: design impacts lives, and designers have the power to make responsible spaces that are still beautiful.
