Crafting plastics is a designer's studio determined to find new sustainable solutions through interdisciplinary collaboration of design, science, and technology. As a result of a long-term collaboration with scientists, crafting plastics developed NUATAN, the 1st 100% biobased and biodegradable material for value-added products. Their principles are radical. They are fully transparent in their work without any compromises in the communication of the material's use. They are determined on creating closed-loop systems following the rules of circular design products. This is mirrored in their processes as they always keep the whole product's lifecycle in their minds, from science labs to producers and consumers to cities and policies. Following design principles, they start with the raw material to its whole lifecycle. With NUATAN they rethink global production processes and materials use, to make a realistic shift towards renewable resources.
