By recreating emergency signage, the project encourages viewers to consider the potential dangers of misinterpreting written language. CYSLFKIA jumbles and transforms the words that we often take for granted yet are crucial to our well-being. ‘Danger’ is ‘Danliou’, ‘Caution’ is ‘Cangcr’, ‘No entry’ becomes ‘Zo cnlry’. By making non-suffers familiar the effects of dyslexia, CYSLFKIA urges empathy and inspires sensitivity around misunderstood conditions.
