SNEL uses biodegradation technology to destroy the plastic polymer chain of contact lenses, turning them into organic acid substances with reusable value. SNEL includes a contact lens cleaner and a replaceable degradation tank. The user puts the contact lens to be discarded into the catalyst-containing degradation tank and injects second catalyst to start the reaction. The recycling company then recycles the degradation tank, separates the degraded components and purifies the recyclable organic acid substances.
