About 2 years ago we met recyclers from the middle of the city. At this time one of the members was working in social sustainable houses and realize the importance of basics services for everyone, including vulnerable people. This recyclers lives in the streets, so we asked the reason they leave their homes. And it was really interesting, Some people leaves because of work, illness, or just really want to feel out of the system. So why not include them in ours designs to provide us our raw material. In some point they are part of that 15-20% of people who collect solid waste. They're local hidden heroes. After celebrating around the fire, recyclers and a group of friends decided to develop the first initiative to develop Dbug. Dbug is based on design made of recycled materials. Aims for collaboration with people with different backgrounds with open source mindset. Our Process is waste collection/design/fabrication.
