SignLab
Imagine a world in which children with severe hearing loss feel included and understood every day.
Today less than 10% of the 64 million parents to deaf and hard of hearing children know sign language due to the low availability of education centers. Exclusion from communication have a significant impact on everyday life, causing feelings of loneliness, isolation, and frustration. The inability to properly communicate have a significantly adverse effect on the academic performance of children. 95% of deaf and hard of hearing children are born to hearing parents. 32 Million Children will benefit from using sign language and sign assisted communication. 64+ Million Parents need to learn signs and sign language. SignLab is creating an internationally adaptable learning platform teaching sign language to communities, siblings, and parents to deaf children. Our platform is always available. It can be used as a textbook in addition to traditional courses or be used alone. Using gamification it makes language learning a fun experience for children and adults alike.
