EXON
An ergonomic camera concept. For better camera handling.
“Just shut one eye, cramp your facial muscles, and press your nose on the display to see through the view finder to get that one perfect shot.” Easy, right? There is a big potential for improvement of DSLRs in terms of ergonomics! The design of conventional cameras is mainly reasoned by the technological components. But as technology is moving forward it is time to rethink our understanding of professional cameras. The viewfinder of Exon works similarly to virtual reality goggles. The photographer is not distracted by their surroundings or any light reflections on the display. It enhances the photographer’s comfort and focus on the picture and helps to stabilize the holding of the camera while shooting. In the concept the center of gravity of the device is aligned with the wrist, while the wrist is straight, therefore it is easier to carry the weight of the camera. The ergonomic improvements are governed by the measurements of the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) by McAtamney.
