Our bench could be described as a long tape bent in several places to provide the most efficient usage options. We decided to reconsidered ordinary approach to what bench is, so we focused on few problems, which we wanted to solve. Firstly, it's a combination of a bench and a cycle parking. Parking units for bicycle are usually far from the benches or all busy or absent at all, so why not just combine a bench and a parking. Secondly, sitting on the bench, a person often surfs her/his phone, and eventually discovers (usually unexpected) that the charge is over. Sitting on Lavka you just attach the phone to the bench and it charges.Thirdly, we often take a sit on a bench to have a snack, and in one hand we have a glass with some drink and in the other hand there is a phone or a book. Why don't make a table? Last but not least is lighting. Cities spend a lot of money on lighting. Why not just embed LEDs and solar panels. So our Lavka bench was created.
