Quintus
Quintus is a design that uses solar energy to turn humidity or fog into water.
Quintus has a solar panel at the top which then stores energy so the device can work 24 hours a day. It has a fan that pushes the air into the device that subsequently gets divided. In one side it gets cold, so the fog can turn into water and get absorbed by a rotating absorbent material, and then with the heat of the other side, the water gets released. As a final step, the water falls onto a filter to ensure it is clean enough to be drinkable. The filter is the only blue zone of the design, the only one that needs to be in contact with people as it has to be slid to the side and cleaned once in a while.
Quintus is a project in search to transform the humidity/fog all around us into accessible and clean water for people who desperately need it.
