What we wanted to accomplish with the Nanoleaf Bloom, was to take something as commoditized as a light bulb and reinvent it as a lifestyle product that encourages a greener lifestyle while adding convenience and control to the user. Every decision that went into its design benefits both the environment and its user. With a shape that is cool and distinctive, it also incorporates science to increase durability. With a fun and creative, customizable PCB shell, it’s also recyclable. The overall design is aesthetically unique, but also allows it to work without an aluminium heat sync, which greatly reduces carbon emissions in its production. Designed to dim without the use of an external dimmer switch, it not only adds convenience to its user, but also makes it easier for them to consume less electricity whenever possible. On paper, the Nanoleaf Bloom is a super energy efficiency LED bulb, but in reality, it is so much more. A lifestyle product that considers both form and function.
