Sustainable Learning
Connecting teachers with free learning resources
As the Bristol 2015 Programme was developed, it was agreed with the Department of Energy and Climate Change that the year provided an unprecedented opportunity to benefit teachers across England (and beyond!). With that in mind, the team behind Sustainable Learning came together at the start of 2015, and began with a local focus. Educational workshops were delivered free of charge to all primary and special schools across the city, focusing on the themes of energy, transport, nature, resources and food. These sessions culminated in the learning resources that now populate www.sustainablelearning.com, including our Best of Bristol Virtual Fieldtrips, inspiring educational videos which form a centrepiece of the whole site. Our TIGA award-winning online game Sustainable Shaun was developed by the Sustainable Learning Team, and brought to life by Aardman Animations.
