Resiplant
System that gives farmers a new way of taking care of their territory despite of climate change.
Resiplant is a system and toolkit which gives farmers a new way to take care of the territory. By applying Resiplant on the drywalls supporting the terraces, a natural strong roots’ net grows, reinforcing the terraces, preventing soil erosion and landslides. The core of Resiplant is the plant species that it uses: Vetiver. From India, it is a sterile plant whose roots get up to 4m in depth in one year with 1/6 the strength of steel. Thin and strong, these roots are drought and fire resistant. Vetiver also has long and fibrous leaves, which work as a windbreak to protect the cultures on the terraces and can be used for secondary products such as soil erosion mats or the Resiplant kits.
