Stories to tell
"Stories to tell" is a shelter for benches where you listen to stories from people you rarely hear.
Rasism and "us and them thinking" is increasing rapidly in our community. Is it possible for a designer to work against this? "Stories to tell" is a graduation project based on the thesis that personal stories can prevent "us and them thinking" in the society. Personal stories can create empathy, relation and understanding for other people. The designer met, collect and produced stories from people seeking asylum in sweden. To place the stories in the public space she created a portable shelter for benches where people can sit and listen.
