Do-da-Deed
A game to teach children about safety in a playful manner.
Talking about child abuse makes many people uncomfortable. And that taboo has consequences: in India, more than 53% of children are subjected to sexual abuse. Due to lack of proper means and inherent embarrassment, we leave the subject unaddressed or explain it in an abstract way rounding up to a set of instruction of Do’s and Don’ts imposed on children. Do-da-deed changes the way, how children's are made aware of child abuse. The game uses a process of action-and-response, providing children with a set of alarming circumstances. This decision-making role play allows the child to recognize and transfer these responses to real-life circumstances, encouraging an awareness of abusive situations.
