Upcycle Studios
Upcycle Studios is the world’s most circular and sustainable building created of upcycle materials.
Upcycle Studios is the world’s most circular and sustainable residential building created of upcycle materials.
Upcycle Studios is not only the circular and green home of tomorrow - it is a pioneer project for circular architecture and material reuse with a design that incentivises sustainable living in a scale never seen before.
The architecture and design of Upcycle Studios is based on the principles of circular economy with the use of upcycle concrete, upcycle windows and upcycle wood. The concrete for the project is created of concrete waste from the construction of Copenhagen Metro. The upcycle windows are from old abandoned houses in rural areas. And the wooden floors, ceiling and wall cladding are made of wood waste from exclusive tree producers. This approach reduces the CO2 emission drastically in the construction phase.
All the materials are processed, so they both in quality, function and aesthetically appear as newly produced materials.
