Arthur Kay is an award-winning designer, entrepreneur and CEO of bio-bean. Having come up with the concept for bio-bean while studying architecture at university, he has since built the world’s first coffee recycling factory with the capacity to recycle one in ten cups of coffee drunk in the UK and set up a coffee waste collection route in London including everyone from large high street chains such as Costa Coffee and Caffe Nero to small independent coffee shops.

Coffee Logs: high performance, carbon-neutral, cost effective fuel made from recycled coffee grounds
Like all of bio-bean’s products, Coffee Logs were inspired by two powerful ideas. This first is that there is no such thing as waste, just resources in the wrong place. This is the guiding principle behind the design of Coffee Logs, the world’s first carbon-neutral biofuel made from recycled waste coffee grounds. Created for stoves, open fires and chimineas, Coffee Logs cut damaging methane emissions by diverting waste from landfill.
The second idea driving bio-bean is a commitment to making the sustainable choice the logical choice. Our Coffee Logs outperform environmentally unfriendly briquettes by burning hotter and for longer than wood. They are also cheaper than many of the less sustainable competitors - meaning everyone can have the opportunity to heat their home more effectively, more sustainably and for less.
Since their launch in October 2016, Coffee have become a bestselling fuel on Amazon in the UK and are now available across Europe.
