Strategy to approach the low vocabulary in deaf persons, allowing them to have access to knowledge
Reading and writing are the base of knowledge, and the common channel of communication between deaf people and listeners. Deaf people, because of their condition, have several problems to acquire a language in written form, even if they know perfectly their natural language, the Sign Language. This project facilitates written vocabulary to deaf people through an interactive application, using a dynamic game based on levels that must be progressively overcome. The main method used is relating written words with sign language and graphical representations so, deaf people, who are considered visual learners, can visually associate the meaning of the words. Also, has a consultation resource that allows them to look for a word independently. This project seeks that in the future, by extending their lexicon, deaf people could have access to knowledge independently and be unrolled in the society in a better way.
