VenligBolig
A concept allowing private and public individuals to invite refugees into their communities.
VenligBolig is a concept allowing private and public individuals to invite refugees into their communities. The idea is simple. Instead of concentrating refugees in tent camps and barracks outside the cities, the refugees will live and be activated as a resource, where the Danes live and work. This is what is best for the economy. It is what is best for successful integration. It is what is best for the environment, and it creates security for the Danes to live together. A VenligBolig is a modern prefabricated house. In its smallets version it is designed to be set up with a tow truck for example, in the front yard on a private property. In just three years, the investment in prefabricated homes located in cities is earned back compared to the cost of running a tented camp in open fields. A prototype is currently being installed in Gilleleje and Frederiksberg Kommune will build a VenligBolig house for 100 students and refugees in 2019.
