Makers Empire
Challenges 5-13yr olds to 3D design and helps schools teach design thinking and build STEM skills
Makers Empire 3D unlocks children’s natural drive to create, share & explore. Students are empowered by an engaging design process to develop a growth mindset and critical problem solving, analytical and spatial thinking skills. For our future job seekers, Makers Empire provides a vital link between the creativity of the virtual world and the practical limits of the real world.
Makers Empire 3D software was conceived when Roland Peddie observed the creativity and problem solving abilities displayed by video games players when customising game characters. Roland built an early version of the software for his 4YO. Trials showed that teachers were unsure how to integrate 3D design & printing into their teaching practice, so educators were enlisted to help create a school product. Makers Empire 3D: Schools includes software, curriculum aligned lesson plans, a teachers’ dashboard, professional development and analytics.
