LifeStraw® Community is a high-volume water purifier with built-in safe storage that converts microbiologically contaminated water into safe drinking water. It’s vital tool for community, educational and institutional settings without access to safe water. It removes 99.9999% of bacteria, 99.999% of viruses and 99.99% of protozoa, and reduces turbidity. It prevents common waterborne diseases affecting children and vulnerable populations such as cholera, typhoid, and giardia. LifeStraw Community is made of durable plastic, and uses advanced hollow fiber technology, a highly efficient filtration method that doesn’t require chemicals, electrical power or batteries. The built in safe storage container will hold 25 liters of clean water, and avoids recontamination of purified water. Each LifeStraw Community purifies 70,000 -100,000 liters of water. This is enough to serve community settings for several years, offering a sustainable solution to provide ongoing access to safe water.
