Social Fashion
A new way of considering Fashion - A new way of Conflict Resolution
The key concept behind Social Fashion Design is to promote peaceful and inclusive societies through the strong fashion communication power. Social Fashion is thought as a mean to transform conflicts through clothes that communicate deep values and ideas, achieving a positive impact on people and society.
Social Fashion aims at representing the possibility of conflict resolution combining cultural symbols of two cultures in conflict in one collection: same ethical values of two different cultures are highlighted through clothes, emphasizing traits of beauty, cultural heritage and the philosophy of peace.
The mission is therefore to deconstruct social prejudice, distrust and discrimination, meaning factors of conflict amplification, improving awareness and sensibility of people who wear this kind of clothes and of the society around them.
The first collection, developed last year, is inspired by and represents the arab-hebrew cultures.
Re-dress the culture of peace.
