Maven
a groundbreaking mobility program redefining transportation in rapidly growing urban areas
In cities, more and more people are opting to join car-sharing programs instead of owning a vehicle themselves. The trade-off? The little personal touches of having your own car, having the radio always tuned to your favorite radio station, your seat reclined just so, and the thermostat at just the right temperature. General Motors’ experimental new program, Maven, aims to give car-sharing a personal touch, thanks to an app which connects to a vehicle’s OnStar system to sync a user’s preferences with the next car they’ll be driving, as well as to provide seamless smartphone integration with their vehicle, allowing users to do everything from start their car to crank up the AC, all within an app.
