The Shell Ocean Discovery XPRIZE encourages scientists from all over the world to explore the oceans with new solutions. In a unique contest, 32 teams from 22 countries are joining forces to overcome the limitations of today's deep-sea research with technological breakthroughs. The Argonauts, the Fraunhofer IOSB team, are the only German participants to face this challenge. In a two-year mission, the crew is developing new oceanographic mapping solutions and plunging into places that no one has ever seen before.
