HydroLily
Turns air into water by accelerating natural condensation processes.
Inspired by the water lily, the system takes the form of a tetrahedral “stem” and a woven wood basket and includes solar panels that power a thermoelectric cooler to create condensation. During testing, the device produced an average of 291 mL of water every day and produced a full liter on sunnier days, when the system’s solar panels were more fully used. Alternative water source to communities and bio-inspired by the hydrophobic petals of water lilies.
