G3DP
3D printed optically transparent glass
G3DP is the first additive manufacturing process to successfully 3D print optically transparent glass. By combining knowledge of glass processing with 3D-printing technology, the creators were able to pioneer an accessible extrusion-based method for creating glass shapes. It could present a new way of using glass in design and architecture, enabling the creation of glass shapes that twist and undulate in unconventional ways. This technology could revolutionize the construction- and building industry.
