StartUp Box
Hiring from underprivileged low-status American communities in B2B software development.
StartUp Box is a social enterprise with an emphasis on enterprise. We've created B2B software services relationships with a growing number of clients that allow us to command 100% of the hiring, and divert dollars into underemployed and underprivileged low-status American communities.
Our model uses a Minimum Viable Training approach that leverages outside training organizations, in order to build professional networks, and expose our employees to real world conditions and career paths that were previously unavailable to them.
Since opening our door for business in late 2014, we've perfected our ability to assemble local non-traditional teams, and direct their energy in a way that effectively solves client problems.
We don't ask software developers to do anything different to participate in tech sector diversification. Instead, we take their typical dev process and make it better by effectively packaging diversity they can use right now - in order to build for the future.
