Tecla
A box that makes using a smartphone possible, for people with limited upper-body mobility
Tecla is for anyone who can’t easily use a smartphone, tablet or computer. This includes those with limited upper-body mobility resulting from spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis, ALS, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, brain injuries, or stroke. Tecla allows an individual to interact with their iOS and Android devices or computers -- hands-free. It works with all assistive switches on the market including buttons, sip-and-puff controllers, head arrays, joysticks and the driving controls of a wheelchair. Tecla is designed and manufactured by Komodo OpenLab Inc. which is a B Corporation. This means that they use the power of business to solve a social problem. Certified B Corporations meet higher standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. B Corporations are important because they inspire all businesses to not only be the best in the world, but to be the best for the world.
