The EyeHarp
A gaze-controlled music interface for people with physical disabilities.
Music performance and learning to play a musical instrument have been showed to provide several benefits for acquiring non-musical skills. The EyeHarp is a gaze-controlled music interface. It aims to allow people with physical disabilities learn and play music. It is open source and free to download and use. It consists of (1) a step-sequencer layer, which serves for constructing chords/arpeggios, and (2) a melody layer, for playing melodies and changing the chords/arpeggios. First of all you need an Eye-tracker: a device that knows where you are looking at. Alternatively the EyeHarp can be controlled through any other device that can control the mouse pointer (e.g. a mouse, a head tracking device or a touch-pad). Once you have that you can download and use the EyeHarp.
