HomeBiogas
Turn your food scraps and animal waste into clean cooking gas and liquid fertilizer
HomeBiogas is a family-sized biogas system that converts food and animal waste into cooking gas and all-natural liquid fertilizer. The system facilitates a biological process of anaerobic decomposition, which breaks down the organic material and produces biogas.
The system is packaged in a small box, comes as a do-it-yourself kit, can be mailed anywhere in the world, and can be assembled in 2 hours. HomeBiogas has been designed for low maintenance, efficiency (minimal waste input produces maximum gas output) and a convenient user experience.
There are 2 major problems we are solving:
1. household organic waste emits significant amounts of methane gas, contributing to climate change + improperly disposed animal waste, frequently contaminates clean water sources
2. indoor air pollution- Over 500M people suffer from open fire cooking, and over 5M people die every year from exposure. HomeBiogas replacing firewood with clean renewable cooking gas.
