CodersTrust
CT helps young talented programmers in developing countries become a part of the labor market.
CT democratise education by creating a new education infrastructure, where the best IT- and software developers get in direct contact with employers all around the world. CT is based on the basic premise that there is already an online labor market and several online learning portals, but what is missing is a financial system to fund the education of the labor force of tomorrow. CT are building such a system that can have a truly powerful impact for the poor. CT provides small loans to freelance coders to help them improve their skills. Although it has recently launched initiatives in India and parts of Africa, most of its work is in Bangladesh. Of the 14 million coders on the freelance market 500,000 are from Bangladesh. If students can prove their skills in the trial course CodersTrust will pay for the students education through the program. The student will pay back 10% of their future earnings as freelance as long as they have acces to the programs tools.
